What is Federal Firearms License?

Because I am a gun dealer, and I buy and sell guns at my shop, I am often asked what a person has to do to legally buy and sell guns in the U.S. While there are laws about specific types of assault rifles, and while certain states have more regulations than others, the short answer to that question is that all you have to do to legally conduct a gun business in the US to to apply for and obtain you Federal Firearms License. Some people call it a Federal Gun Permit. It is a license, issued by the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. The license allows the holder to purchase firearms wholesale, store them at his/her place of business, and sell them at retail to customers. You can read more about a Federal Firearms License here:
If you think you might be serious about applying for your Federal Firearms License and would like the advice and support of the experts, I recommend checking out the people who pubish the Federal Firearms License Kit.
